About the Artist

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hiya! I'm Aoife and I am a digital creator based in Sydney, Australia. I am a highly creative person with a keen interest in Video Editing, Illustration and Animation.

I have recently graduated from AFTRS with a Bachelor of Arts in Screen Production, and during my time there I discovered my passion for video editing and animation.

Even though I have been drawing most of my life, I started taking it seriously 3 years ago, and have now developed a style and skills, and I would love to venture into more background and concept design work.

I am very active on social media and post content regularly on my Instagram and stream gaming on Twitch.

Belladonna Whisk's Reciepe for Disaster

The daughter of a famous hitman realises that she would rather swap out the throwing knifes for a rolling pin.

2021

Belladonna Whisk is a short from proof of concept film that is currently in pre-production development. I am the main editor on the project and I am also the Head of Development for the post-production team, which includes composers, vfx artists and comic artists. This project is very exciting to me as the action packed concept is something that I have never handled before.

Among the Gum Trees

After the death of her son, a mother hunts down her son’s high school bullies during their end of year catchup. Unknown to all, a creature in the bush is after it’s own revenge

Among The Gum Trees is a proof of concept trailer that was produced in early 2021. The film was a proof of concept film to promote a potential longer format. My role on the project was as an editor and i am very proud of the film that we created and I faced challenges that I have never faced before.

Life Goals

Editor/Animation

Influencer Mel is a very big deal, but unfortunately nobody else is aware of that fact. When Mel encounters obstacles that prevent her from achieving YouTube stardom, she tackles them the best way she can.

In late 2020 I worked as an editor and animtor on a short comedy web series called Life Goals. On this project my responsibilites included editing the first episode (an exerpt of that episode linked below) and creating all the beginning hand-drawn animations for each episode. This experience taught me a lot of skills about working collaboratively within a team and how to manage the workflow and adapt to the fluctuation of a large team.

Edge of the Universe

Edge of The Universe is a proof of concept animation that was created to pitch a longer story idea. In this project I was a part of the Production Design team working as a concept/background artist. This experience was very enlightning and pushed my illustration skills further than they have ever gone before. I was a large part of the creative team and worked collaboratively with the Directors and Producers.

Mort + Kora

Mort + Kora is a continuation of the Edge of the Universe story, focusing in on the world and the two main characters. I have continued working on the project, but I am now more focused on the environmental design and concepts. This short film is currently still in pre-production, with it being predicted to finish in late 2021.

This short 5 minute comedy sketch was created in my first year of attending AFTRS. It was one of my first experiences of working in a team and crew, and it taught me valuable skills like comunication and collaboration.
